CCDA Spring Conference

12th Annual Best Practices in Career Development:

Career Development for Adults in Transition


Arvada Center for the Arts, Friday, April, 4, 2014 from 8:30am-4:30pm. 


Join us after the conference for a networking event from 4:30-6:00pm. Your $15 ticket will include appetizers and one drink. Select 'networking event' during your registration process. 


We will start the conference with Cathy Lachman and Neil Gowensmith learning about the College Gateway Program. This program provides ex-offenders a supportive 'soft-landing' into college life and allows them better opportunities to earning a college degree and finding meaningful employment. 


In addition to breakfast and lunch, the conference will feature 9 breakout sessions on a variety of topics:

  • The Colorado Helps Advanced Manufacturing Program
  • Creating an Inclusive Career Genogram
  • Addressing Mid-Life Career Changes and Loss of Identity

  • ICAP: Colorado and Its Career Pathways
  • Self-Identification of Disabilities
  • Helping Adults in Transition to Maximize Wellbeing
  • The Top 5 Branding Mistakes of Transitioning Adults
  • Own Your Future: A Web Resource for Ex-Offenders
WeThe conference will end with a panel featuring: Jenny Pickett, Director of the CSU Adult Learners and Veterans Services; Michael Shay, DU Veterans Services Coordinator; and Izzy Abbass, CU-Denver Boots to Suits Program Director.

Registration prices:
Regular until April 2 (midnight):
CCDA Members: $90
Student, New Professional, and Retiree CCDA members: $50
Non-Members: $145

Day-of and after April 2:
CCDA Members: $100
Student, New Professional, and Retiree CCDA members: $55
Non-members: $155

Non-members can join (click on "Membership Application" on the left of the page) to receive the member rate or sign up using the options on the left of the event page.
