Biography
Cynthia Kizer-Jaqua has been a professional counselor working in the fields of mental health and rehabilitation since 1974 and the field of vocational rehabilitation since 1984. She has been a member of the American Psychological Association since the early 1980’s and received designation as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, CRC, in 1986. During this time she has served varied client populations in the public and private sector including: veterans, students, the unemployed, injured workers (state and federal), clients challenged by physical, psychological, and/or learning disabilities, and the socially disadvantaged. Performing effectively in diverse venues, from private practice to the public schools, has demanded wide-ranging professional skills – personal/rehabilitation/career counseling, research and program development, vocational evaluation and consultation, return to work planning, ergonomics, case management, and expert witness. Ms. Kizer-Jaqua, in private practice since 2005, combines her lengthy and varied experience with good communication skills, a commitment to best practices, and the highest ethical standards to provide effective, conscientious, and timely professional services.
