Biography
I launched my career consulting business, Creating Purpose, LLC, in February, 2006 and have been instructing CDF/FCD credential classes since December, 2008.

I hold the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) Instructor Certification through CCE-Global and the Certified Master of Career Services (CMCS), through NCDA, which recognizes professionals who have mastered a variety of senior roles in career coaching, advising and consulting through a combination of education and experience.

In 2016, I was awarded the Rich Feller Award by the Colorado Career Development Association as the outstanding career development consultant in Colorado. Additionally, I sat on several board positions for the Colorado Career Development Association and am a board member of Pursuits Coaching, Inc.

I was also selected as one of 8 career specialists nationwide serving on the NCDA National Leadership Academy for experiential leadership development opportunities specifically for promising national and state career development association leaders. In this capacity, I created and launched Career Talks (similar to TEDTalks) for NCDA used worldwide for national and regional conventions.

I have two Master degrees, one in Adult Development (with an emphasis in Leadership Coaching) and one in Creative Writing, and I have been an affiliate professor at Regis University in Denver, CO for the past 12 years, teaching Psychology, Positive Psychology, and Career Development.

My background of 25 years in corporate marketing leadership has been a valuable asset in understanding corporate career processes and as the Training Director of the Jefferson County Workforce Center, I developed 32 career training classes for job seekers and designed and implemented training for staff. My expertise includes customized development of training programs in career development for outside organizations, educational institutions and alumni groups.

I delivered keynote addresses and career development workshops, seminars, and presentations to universities and colleges, government, private corporations, workforce centers, national online forums, career development conferences, and educational institutions across the country. I have also been one of the career specialists on KUSA-NBC Channel 9 (Denver) and KMGH-ABC Channel 4 (Denver).
